Independent practice
About Pixelated Research
A small public notebook for studying software infrastructure without smoothing away its edges.
Understand first. Simplify second.
Pixelated Research is an independent theme for experiments in distributed systems, open protocols, and operational clarity. The work begins with observation: what crossed the boundary, which assumption failed, and what information a person actually had at the time.
Outputs stay modest by design—field notes, diagrams, and small software studies that can be inspected without a platform behind them.

Working principles
- Prefer observable behavior to implied intent.
- Keep failure local and explicit.
- Design for another implementation.
- Make the safe path ordinary.
- Document uncertainty honestly.
